I’m writing this newsletter from 30,000 feet (figuratively... I wrote it before boarding my flight to Japan). I’m heading to speak at the Science and Technology in Society Forum 2025 (STS Forum) happening October 5–7.

This is a pretty big deal: the STS Forum brings together leaders from science, technology, government, business, academia, and civil society to discuss how scientific and technological advances can best serve humanity over the next 100 to 500 years.

Even Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan are attending. So yeah, it’s that kind of event.

Here’s what I’ve learned moving from academic classrooms to training MNCs in large boardrooms, and from lecturing undergrads to speaking to the world at Davos.

Most executives have world-class expertise and zero visibility outside their company. I know how much combined knowledge and experience remains hidden from sight.
